Tik Tak Toe, another challenging yet addicting board game, which you surely enjoyed on your notebooks in your Schools or at home, playing with 0 and X making 3 in a row or column first make you or your opponent winning the game.
Next Vesrion of TicTacToe will be coming soon . . .

While physics-based puzzlers are perhaps the most popular variety of mobile games, a certain army of tower defense fans may have a case to refute such
a claim. From Fieldrunners toBloons TD, there are perhaps hundreds of these addictive strategy titles available on the App Store, but few have reached the level of popularity of Plants Vs. Zombies. Today, the sequel to the original, which has naturally been entitled Plants Vs. Zombies 2, has become available at the Australian and New Zealand App Stores, and although the U.S. / worldwide rollouts tend to follow shortly thereafter, it looks as though the rest of us won’t be seeing the game just yet.
Like the current craze that is the Candy Crush Saga (although perhaps less of a shakedown in that you only need to cough up your pennies just the once), Plants Vs. Zombies has prided itself on its innocent-looking environment; a guise for what is an extremely tricky title once you get started with it. Like most tower defense titles, it’s all about thing ahead, and Plants Vs. Zombies 2 offers more of the same for those who enjoyed the first installment.
Although Plants Vs. Zombies hasn’t been as successful as the likes of Angry Birds or Cut the Rope, it’s been a champion in its own right; a mainstay near the summit of the App Store charts for many a year. The wait for a follow-up has been lengthy, but according to the release notes from Electronic Arts, worth sitting on a lawn all summer for.
The staggered release for the rest of the world is to enable EA to “test out all of the new systems and features built into the game,” and since PvZ 2 wasn’t actually meant to release until July 18th anyway, we’ll let them off.
Apparently, the new innovations will require "large tests" to be performed ready for the worldwide drop, so don’t be surprised if you have to wait a couple of weeks to see what all the fuss is about. Still, it’s not as though PvZ hasn’t been out for years already; a short wait longer for the sequel won’t hurt.
Oh, and if you do happen to reside within Australia or New Zealand, you can grab the free title from the link below.

This is great of course but, what about the great American Truck? What happens when all of the gas is gone and the roads are controlled by rogue hybrids? Well, that’s exactly what happens in Trucks Vs Hybrids, the Trucks have to get their precious gas back from those pesky Hybrids. Read on to find out how you can help save the Trucks.

Android has become a great platform for gaming over just a few years and while developers such as EA and Gameloft are making technically brilliant games for the platform, very few take advantage of the unique hardware in our smartphones. For instance, there are only a couple of high-end games that take advantage of accelerometers, Catch the Ring is a skill game that relies on your steady hand to hook all the rings around a spike underwater. It sounds like a strange concept, read on to see if it translates into a good game.
Description: Catch the Ring is a game of skill that relies on physics. In an underwater tank, you’ve got to regulate three jets of air to propel rings into the tank, then use the accelerometer on your device to guide the rings on to the spike or spikes inside of your tank. It sounds easy but, thanks to the great use of physics in the game, the rings have a mind of their own and you’ve got to see how quickly you can complete the level. Catch the Ring isn’t just a game for adults though, it’s a game that children will enjoy, and it will teach them basic eye-hand-coordination skills as well.
How it Works: To start playing this fun skill game, you’ll have to download the game from the Play Store. After that you’re ready to go.
There are a few settings you can tweak as well, which you should have a look before you play.
When you pick a level to play, you can either choose one at random or play through them one after the another. The random option is nice but, maybe after you’ve completed some of those in the campaign.
The first level is quite simple, all you have to do is hook 9 rings on to the spike in the middle of the tank. To do that, you need to hit the jets to send the rings into the air, and then use the accelerometer to guide them into place.
Once you finish a level, you’ll be told how well you’ve done, including a time as well:
Things get more and more difficult. Soon you’ll have two spikes to manage:
As well as spikes that are at awkward angles:
Opinion: There’s something really compelling about Catch the Ring, it’s a game of skill that takes advantage of the accelerometer in our smartphones and tablets, and puts it to good use. It’s quite a serene game as well as being challenging at the same time. To best describe it, this is a game that requires more than just skill, it requires finesse. Not many mobile titles can say that and Catch the Ring is certainly a title that sets itself apart from the majority of games out there.

There’s been a trend of constant-running games hit the Play Store in the last year or so, with titles like Temple Run and others making a name for themselves. It’s easy to see why, it’s a simple but engaging game mechanic that keeps you on your toes. They are challenging titles but, the challenge is the game itself and not the control system, as there are very controls to learn. Most of the time it’s either swipe to move left or right, or tap to jump. Can Jungle Quest make good use of this same mechanic? Read on to find out.
Description: Jungle Quest puts you in charge of a gorilla on an adventure in the jungle. You’ve got to avoid nasty poachers and collect as many bananas as you can. It’s not just the poachers you have to look out for, either, as the Jungle itself poses a threat with obstacles that you have to jump over to avoid falling over. You can use your collected bananas to upgrade your Gorilla in a number of ways. There’s a funky soundtrack underpinning your whole adventure as well!
How it Works: To get started on your own Jungle adventure, you need to head on over to the Play Store and download the game. Once you’d done that, you’re ready to start jumping from tree to tree.

The control system is nice and straight forward and Jungle Quest lays them out for you:

Once in-game, all you have to do is jump out-of-the-way to stay alive:

It’s not just obstacles and poaches that you need to avoid but, you also need to collect bananas as well:

At the end of each level, you get a progress report:

When you collect enough bananas you can choose an upgrade for your gorilla:

Opinion: As a big PC and Console gamer, I don’t like having to wrestle with onscreen touch controls, I find them more of a chore than anything else. Which is why I quite like these always-running games as there’s only really one control to remember or get used to. Jungle Quest is challenging and a good game to play through, without having finicky controls get in the way of your fun. While the ads did start to get on my nerves a little bit, they were easily managed and can be removed for a small in-app purchase of $0.99. These ads help keep Jungle Quest free to download.
Ratings

Some of my favorite games on Android have been old school RPGs. 9th Dawn was a great experience, and now, Kemco Games, a developer known for making said RPGs on Android, has just released a new title called Bonds of the Skies.
The game seems to have all of the best elements of a retro RPG: great pixelated graphics, fluid combat, an expansive world and a good storyline. The premise of the game is much like every other old school RPG – your town is under attack, everyone is in danger, and it’s up to you and your friends to stop the threat.
Bonds of the Skies has some decent customization options. You’ll be able to customize characters by giving them a certain set of skills. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot of customization, but some of the skills that you’re able to customize is actually quite cool.
Costing $4.99, the game is essentially a straight port from the original and really does justice to the original title being released ten year back. While a few tweaks have been implemented to the benefit of the gamer (and for the adaptability of the mobile device), the story remains exactly the same, and of all the early Grand Theft Auto releases, this one stands out as one of my favorites.

Many will argue the case that San Andreas has been the most exciting hitherto, but the assortment of arsenal on Vice City are so much fun. Anybody with an interest in the upcoming release of the aesthetically-sumptuous Grand Theft Auto V owes it to themselves, as a fan, to pick up a copy right now.

To our delight, Vice City is compatible with a bunch of devices, including the iPhone 5, 4S, 4 and 3GS, the iPod touch 4G and 5G and the iPad. But before you get downloading, it’s a good idea to make sure that your device is supported. Weighing in at a hefty 1021MB, it’s not a small download for those with a slower internet connection.

Although, considering the iconic nature of this title, I think the five bucks is more than justified, you may want to hold out for a couple of weeks. I picked up Grand Theft Auto III ($4.99) for $0.99 when it was on deal, and with the holiday season fast-approaching, you just never know.

This title, handles much better on the larger display of the tablet, so if you’re on an iPad, I highly recommend you download it on that device as opposed to your smartphone.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the title is propagating throughout the world as we speak, as of now, it is available for download in the New Zealand, Japan and Russian App Store(s) and will slowly be available to everyone in the coming hours. It is also worth mentioning that the Android version of Vice City will also be available to download later today.

The Other Brothers from 3D Attack Interactive is the closest a mobile game has come to replicating the Super Mario Bros. experience. Instead of plumbers, brothers Joe and Jim are auto mechanics roped into the typical rescue mission involving a distressed damsel. The game environment is grittier than Mario, featuring mobsters with uppercut attacks and machine guns, guard dogs, and arduous boss fights. Still, the game mechanics are practically the same as any episodic platformer, as you stomp baddies to increase your overall score and collect doves, which functions similarly to rings in SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game was developed to eventually support Android gaming, so keep your fingers crossed.
Nimble Quest, developed by Nimblebit, is another throwback mobile game combining fantasy role-playing and the arcade classic Snake. Instead of a rectangular snake consuming squares and circles, you steer a “conga line of heroes,” all of which boast specialized abilities and attacks. The better you do slashing bad guys, the more heroes you unlock. Collecting blue and green gems enables you to purchase power-ups. There is an in-app purchasing system, but it isn’t necessary to enjoy the game. Nimble Quest’s gameplay can be a bit grinding yet remains pleasant. The game is set up with with service Everyplay, so you can share video replays of your most impressive Nimble Quest sessions via Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and email.
With Into the Dead, PikPok Games delivered one of the most visually memorable and intense first person running games available as a mobile app. You’re dropped into a field and must run away from packs of the undead. The developers smartly offer four different control schemes from the get-go to make players as comfortable as they can be as the dodge snarling corpses and inanimate obstacles. At first, you’re equipped only with your faceless character’s shallow breathing, but you can pick up weapons during your endless escape. As a freemium game, you can purchase coins right away and ‘fast unlock’ all the weapons. If you don’t feel like dropping your next paycheck on a mobile game, play through and complete missions to unlock items. The horror elements here aren’t for younger kids, as the last sounds you hear at a run’s end are screams and the zombie munching on your character.

One of the genres that seems ideally suited to mobile devices is top-down racing, in which players drive their cars around a track they can see from a bird’s eye view. Tight controls and fast gameplay made the first Reckless Racing title a lot of fun. It’s the intelligent improvements and tighter gameplay, not the increased recklessness, that makes Polarbit’s sequel even better.
The visually impressive Infinity Blade, with its easy-to -learn, hard to master swipe-based sword-fighting mechanics, became a mainstay of iPhone gaming when it was first released in 2010. While it included some semblance of a plot – there’s an oppressive immortal tyrant living in a tower, and he continuously kills members of your family’s bloodline until you take him down – it was exceedingly thin the first time out. When developer ChAIR attacked making a sequel to the super-popular Infinity Blade, it added a whole lot more to the puzzle, but the first step was giving the game a much more engaging story for framing the action. Now players get swept up in the science fictional intrigue, and there’s even a novella that sets the stage for the second game and bridges the gap between the two.
Having a real story facilitates a bigger game, and the second thing that makes Infinity Blade II such a great sequel is that it’s enormous. There are new mechanics, new enemies, new settings, multiple paths through each playthrough, and even a sort of collective multiplayer mode in which players compete in challenges to earn in-game prizes. Infinity Blade II manages to take what was fun about the first game and add tremendous value to its formula. Soon, the developers will release Infinity Blade Dungeons, a prequel to the first game. Not only does this revise and solidify the storyline, but transforms the game experience from turn-based slashing to a sprawling dungeon crawler.
The intensity of Walking Dead comes from its great writing, although it’s definitely not a game for children. Like the comics on which it is based (although the game is pretty much unrelated to the graphic novel’s story), the game is filled with adult themes and horrific situations. No character is safe from being summarily executed because of a mistake that leads to a zombie attack, or an encounter with other characters that involves firearms. Walking Dead manages to make players care about all its characters, especially Clementine, its high-intensity situations are seriously affecting.
Walking Dead’s greatest achievement is the way it allows players to invest themselves in the tale being told. As Lee, you’re primarily responsible for interacting with other characters through dialog, which means you’ll choose what Lee does or doesn’t say and do, for the most part. The game likes to put you in tough situations and ask for you to make hard decisions. You’ll often find yourself asked to pick which course of action you think is the right one, or to back one character over another. Sometimes these situations can result in someone’s death, and the game often will give you clues about meaningful decisions, noting things such as “Clementine will remember that.”
Adventure games are usually pretty strong storytelling engines, and because of that, they can often do some very interesting things in the horror genre. As Walking Dead manages to mix slow-burn, tough moments, other games opt for ramping up the tension slowly, as exemplified by several scenes in Bulkypix’s Yesterday.
Counted among some of the more solid adventure games in the genre are those bearing the Broken Sword title. A pair of the Broken Sword games –Broken Sword and Broken Sword II – found their ways out of the annals of gaming history to engage new players on mobile devices, despite having been first released in 1996 and 1997.

What Are You Playing?
Which games are you hooked on right now? Let your fellow gamers and iPad enthusiasts know in the comments section below!Trucks Vs Hybrids

Description: You can think of this Angry Birds with cars, but there are a number of differences that makes this game play differently and feel differently. For one thing, you have to land on the game board, not just destroy as much of the environment as you can. Physics play a big part here, as do fast speeds and heavy vehicles. Throughout the game you’ll be given access to three Trucks in which to take on the Hybrids with; Monster Truck, a Big Rig Tractor Trailer Cab, and a Heavy Duty HD Pickup Truck. To cause even more destruction, running over the Hybrids will cause them to explode!
How it Works: You’ve got to take back the gas from those nasty hybrids, to do that you’ll have to head on over to the Play Store and download the game. There is a free version of the game as well one with no ads. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be presented with the main menu:
One thing that’s great about the game, is that it’ll take you through all of the controls just by hitting “Directions” from the main menu:
Controlling the Trucks is pretty easy really, which is good because little ones will be able to pick the game up no problem:
You can choose to control the truck either by tilting your device or through the on-screen buttons. I opted for buttons to allow me precise control. The overall aim of the game is not to destroy the Hybrids but, to get precious gas for the trucks.
When in-game, you have to make sure to calculate your jump properly, otherwise you could end up going far too far, and completely missing the gas pump:
The aim of the game is to collect the gas, destroying trashing the hybrid at the end of each level is just a sweet bonus.
If you fail, you’re certainly going to know about it!
Opinion: There’s no denying that Trucks vs Hybrids is a lot like Angry Birds but, that can’t be a bad thing and there’s enough on offer here to make sure that this game stands out on its own. The physics are a lot of fun and the fact that you have to land at the gas pump makes things a little more difficult than your typical slingshot game. The premise of the game is fun as well, with just enough cheek to make people notice.
Ratings
- Speed (4/5) – On a number of devices, Trucks vs Hybrids ran perfectly fine and loading times were pleasant.
- Features (3.5/5) – While there are a number of things that set this apart from Angry Birds, it can feel like slingshot games like this have had their day.
- Theme (3.5/5) – While the graphics are good, the game looks as though it could do with some polish. Physics are represented well and explosions are fun to look at.
- Overall (4/5) – While this is a game that needs some polish, it’s certainly a lot of fun and at the end of the day, that’s all we really want from a game.
Pros
- On the surface, this looks just like Angry Birds with cars but, there’s more to it.
- Having to land on the gas pump might seem trivial but, it does add a level of difficulty to the game.
- How can anybody get bored with running a Prius over with a giant truck?!
- Controls are easy to pick up and play.
Cons
- While the game looks good, menus and loading screens look like they need work.
- Those that have played Angry Birds to death might not want to play this one.
Conclusion: For car fans everywhere, this is going to be a fun game to play through. After all, the purist has no time for these electronic-powered Frankensteins, if it doesn’t run on gas – it’s not welcome. Regardless of how you feel about these hybrid cars, Trucks vs Hybrids is a lot of fun for those of all ages and while this sort of game might have played out all too many times, that doesn’t mean you should write this off. Trucks vs Hybrids is not a pricey game and you can play it for free, so really you’ve got nothing to lose.
Featured Game Review: Catch the Ring

Featured Game Review: Jungle Quest

Ratings
- Speed (3/5) – Jungle Quest is a game that relies on speed to create a challenge for the user, and it does do that but, there are some slowdowns from time-to-time.
- Features (4/5) – It might seem that there’s not a lot on offer in Jungle Quest but, the gameplay presents enough of a challenge to keep players engaged and the gameplay is certainly addictive.
- Theme (4/5) – I liked the look and feel of Jungle Quest, and the soundtrack that underpins the whole thing really added to the atmosphere very nicely.
- Overall (3.5/5) – There are a few issues with Jungle Quest but, I assume this is down to it being new on Android, overall though it’s a fun game.
- Addictive gameplay that doesn’t rely on finicky onscreen controls.
- Cool soundtrack that might fool into thinking you’re really in the jungle.
- Collecting bananas – like coins – actually leads to something, you can upgrade your gorilla with them.
- Both enemies and the environment provide a challenge to the player.
- Ads become quite obtrusive, quite quickly.
- The game does run a little slowly at times, but I think this is down to it being new on Android.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City For iPhone, iPad And Android Released – Download Now!
By Ben Reid | December 6th, 2012
Advertisements
Rockstar Games promised, and has finally delivered a mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. To commemorate ten years of the legendary title, a touch-friendly version has been created, and for those running on iOS, it is now available at the App Store for download.Costing $4.99, the game is essentially a straight port from the original and really does justice to the original title being released ten year back.

Are you a fan of mysterious stories? On my side; yes, I am, especially the Hitchcock movies and novels are my any time favorite. These days technology has changed and we can enjoy what we have seen on big screens right inside your smartphones or tablets. Here is Murder Detective 2, an edge-of-the-seat thriller for your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

You will never get bored with the story as it is really thrilling. The interactions are short between the game characters while the hidden object games are interesting enough to kill your time. The story progresses through healthy interaction between the detective Phil, his colleague, the priest, etc.
Apart from the interesting and interactive storytelling, the app has some twisting puzzles to clear some stages. Sadly, the app misses providing clues to the players especially in the puzzle solving regions, which is sometimes harder to solve. The app has enticing locations with matching background sounds that create the feel like we are investigating a crime in real!
I have stuck many times in the game especially in solving the puzzles without any clues on how to move on. I am sure the developers may be worried about this issue and provided a way to let them know the scene where players have stopped playing the game. It would be great if they can provide any clues within the app so that players can move on with the same thrill.
Murder Detective 2 is a complete package of thrill and excitement from the initial scene itself. It is not just a story, but a collection of some good puzzles as well. You can download the app from the App Store for $2.99

According to the official gameplay trailer, shared by Gameloft via Twitter, Iron Man 3 will be an endless runner and as expected, you’ll get to blow up things.
Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but with Gameloft charging $6.99 for similar games, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the same. Check out the official gameplay trailer and let us know in the comments if you’re looking forward to seeing Iron Man 3.
– Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio and Angry Birds Seasons– so it wasn’t too much of a stretch to say that the formula might be wearing thin, and the tremendous popularity of Angry Birds was actually making the franchise a bit dull.
Angry Birds Space changed that in a hurry. The game took the core of Angry Birds and introduced totally new mechanics to the game world, allowing players to deal with things like variable gravity, inertia, planetary obstacles and more. We’d been playing the same Angry Birds for literally years by this point, and Rovio came along and shook up the snow globe to awesome effect. Suddenly, the well-loved but aging Angry Birds was totally revitalized.
It’s a testament to the strength of Angry Birds Space, and to Rovio’s quality design, that the game soon spawned another spin-off in Angry Birds Star Wars, which also manages to be a great addition to the franchise with smart new mechanics plus new bird abilities, and not just a tie-in for the sake of easy sales.
Slightly less reckless racing

Reckless Racing 2 totally improves the core gameplay of the original. Everything about Reckless Racing 2 is more polished. Graphically, the game is brilliantly detailed, even though its zoomed-out view keeps the action small. Even better, though, is that it provides a whole lot more content than the original, like more tracks and cars that you can customize.
It’s a great sequel that can drop what doesn’t work about an original while improving upon what does, and Reckless Racing 2 does just that. The game is smart in that it feels like it takes itself more seriously, and in so doing, provides better gameplay than the original.
Fleshing out the story makes a better game

The intensity of Walking Dead comes from its great writing, although it’s definitely not a game for children. Like the comics on which it is based (although the game is pretty much unrelated to the graphic novel’s story), the game is filled with adult themes and horrific situations. No character is safe from being summarily executed because of a mistake that leads to a zombie attack, or an encounter with other characters that involves firearms. Walking Dead manages to make players care about all its characters, especially Clementine, its high-intensity situations are seriously affecting.
What sets Walking Dead apart?

Adventure titles like Walking Dead have seen something of a resurgence lately, thanks to an expanding indie gaming market on PC, and their ability to translate exceedingly well to mobile devices. Walking Dead has set a bar in storytelling for a lot of games, but there are quite a few other quality adventure titles that also nail the feeling of exploration and puzzle-solving and storytelling for which the genre is known.
Serial killers instead of zombies

Yesterday is the story of a serial killer plaguing New York’s homeless population, and it gets weird in a hurry. Like Walking Dead, it’s awash with lots of adult themes and violent acts, but it puts a greater emphasis on traditional adventure genre gameplay, making heavy use of involved puzzles. Players have to figure out how to move forward in order to continually unlock the story, and with its comic book style and feel, Yesterday manages to tell a pretty engrossing one.
Again, it’s not a game for kids, but if something a little darker and more thrilling is up your alley, it’s worth a shot.
A ‘broken’ blast from the past

Where Walking Dead and Yesterday focus on horror and thriller themes, Broken Sword is something more of a mystery story. In the first game, players follow the exploits of American George Stobbart and French journalist Nicole Collard, who set out to solve a mystery that begins with a French politician being murdered by a costumed serial killer.
Broken Sword’s gameplay is much more of the “point and click” puzzle-solving variety than much of Walking Dead’s, but like the other titles, the games in the Broken Sword franchise manage to capture players’ attention with solid characters and deep, interesting stories.
There are plenty of other great adventure games in the iTunes App Store, with even more coming from the other platforms all the time. For players who like games that tell great stories, this is a genre to keep an eye on, especially after the huge success Telltale has seen with Walking Dead: The Game.Hundreds tops iPhone Games of the Week

It seems that end of year empty release schedule continues now into early 2013. There were not very many notable releases at all, but our top game of the week Hundreds is about as notable as they come. It's a remake of a Flash game from the creator of Canabalt. We've also got a kooky endless runner, a solid turn-based strategy game, and a couple of racing games. Hopefully this is just a slow start to what should be an awesome 2013 for mobile gaming!
